SAN BERNARDINO >> Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two women wounded Saturday night in San Bernardino.
Officers were flagged down by a woman outside an apartment complex in the 900 block of N. G Street, near the intersection of Ninth Street, at 8:11 p.m. They learned a triple shooting had just occurred, San Bernardino police said in a news release.
Officers found three victims in the parking lot on the west side of the apartments.
Harold Cook, 49, of San Bernardino was pronounced dead at the scene. Two women were wounded in the shooting and taken to hospitals for treatment, authorities said.
The shooting death marks the city’s 46th homicide of 2016.
Police believe two suspects fled the scene. They have not been identified and remained at large Sunday morning.
The circumstances and motive behind the shooting are under investigation and no further information was immediately.
