What do they believe?
Black separatists oppose integration and racial intermarriage. They are in favor of separate institutions for black people in America, at times going so far as to advocate for a separate nation. Most contemporary forms of black separatism are strongly anti-white and anti-Semitic. Several religious versions assert that blacks — not Jews — are the Biblical “chosen people” of God.
Ironically, black and white separatist leaders have been known to work together, as both groups work towards the common goal of keeping races apart. In 1962, American Nazi Party boss, George Lincoln Rockwell, appeared at the Nation of Islam’s (NOI) Saviour Day Convention to christen Elijah Muhammad, a NOI leader, the Hitler of blacks. American neo-Nazi leader, Tom Metzger, has praised NOI’s anti-Semitic beliefs and donated money to the Nation of Islam.
