New Black Panther Party

The New Black Panther Party (NBPP) was established in 1989 in Dallas, Texas, but is most active on the east coast, from Boston to Jacksonville, Florida. The organization claims it is a modern-day expression of the black power movement of the 1960s and 70s, but the principals of the original Black Panther Party have rejected the New Black Panthers as black racist hate group.

The NBPP believes black Americans should have their own nation in which they can make their own laws. They demand all black prisoners be released to the lawful authorities of the Black Nation. Leaders of the NBPP have blamed Jews for the 9/11 terrorist attacks and claim white men have a secret plan to commit genocide against all non-white races.

King Samir Shabazz, head of the Philadelphia NBPP Chapter, was quoted in a January 2009 National Geographic documentary as saying, “You want freedom? You going to have to kill some crackers! You going to have to kill some of their babies!” In March of 2012, Mikhail Muhammad, a New Black Panther Party leader in Florida, placed a $10,000 bounty on George Zimmerman after the shooting of Trayvon Martin.
